UO Second Age

First, a basic introduction.

I started UO in the summer of 1998 when I was 15 years old.

My peak of play time was the year right before UO:R and the first year of UO:R. I played atlantic and most people knew me simple as pauly.

Reason for my presence: Obvious. I'm considering playing.

Problem: I'm mainly a pvper whos primary computer usage is a laptop. Laptop keyboard even with a usb mouse = not all too comfortable for PvP. My current available PC would be completely inept for UO purposes.

Truth: I might play anyway.

Why I'm here: Only one real reason; I'm amazed. I safely presume most of you people DID play in the t2a era and a vast portion of those people are atleast 20 years old. At this point, the maturity and mannerisms I'm following from post to post indicate to me that I'm still around those same teenagers who haven't changed one bit. Now I knew UO to be an addictive game and perpetuate degenerative life styles but GOD DAMN...

This post is in NO WAY meant to be an insult; rather an overview of is conciously or deniably obvious to everyone. "WTF".

No I'm not a fat slob like lumthemad who likes to judge gamers. (for those of you who remember him, avid supporter of SP and huge ranter of UO. Now is on some design team for another MMO). My photo can be found here: http://img5.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pasha.jpg

P.S. If anyone here remembers me from atlantic, if by some slim chance I caused you grief in any manner which would be considered inappropriate... I apologise. Some of the things I did were indeed wrong and sociopathic of me. That's all.

Definitely play here; the retards add nostalgia effect. There are plenty of us who have grown up, though.

PS: I play on a laptop/USB mouse and I can hold my own in PvP. Far from what the Trash Talk forum might lead you to believe, 99% of the people on this shard are not leet PvPers.

Ignore the obvious posts that you're referring to. There's no such thing as a video game forum where people act like people.

Server's great, community is great, staff is great!

Been here almost two weeks.

shard , not much content for pvmers, pvp is fun even if the t2a rule set isn't exactly the most balanced. Lots of people around to mess with which is cool. Staff is cool.

dunno man shard is fun enough, play don't play w/e. Athough playing on a lap top does blow hard, I couldn't do it , but if you can more power to ya.

I'm fairly new here myself and have quickly realized that the content in the forums isn't really a fair representation of the playerbase here. There are plenty of good people in the game. Play here because this is the way I will always remember UO, I played through many eras but this is the way it was supposed to be. There are faults with this server no doubt, but I'm loving it here so far.

I've decided to give it a go. I might not spend too much time playing but once I do develop a char or two; I have a feeling I'll enjoy it. Not to be redundant here but I simply must follow along the path of every other newbie to join the server.....

Welcome and Iv been here for about 2 months and you really can not get a great understanding from how the language is on the forums compared to game; but its a good server.

You could farm the sewers in Brit and farm up a little bit of starting gold for your mage or what ever other char you want to get. Good luck!
