They rarely spawn now. Maybe 1 in 100 evil mages at best.

Here is a picture of the Evil Mage Robe color: Taylors were able to cut the robe into cloth, and make another clothing item from it. In 1998-1999 you were very well known, and somebody special if you spent this time making a GM Taylor, especially with a proper character name such as "Liz Claiborne"....who gave my newbie these pants. I saved them in the bank for years.....because this Famous person whom didn't even know me, gave me such a unique item one day! I wore them later when insurance came out
The color was a noticebly much darker shadow then you could get with the dye tub at that time, and most did not know where this color was coming from. Later you could not get the robe from killing the evil mages, so items with this color became "rares".
