UO Second Age

Hi,
I am just beginning again. I have not played UO, or any other game for 10 years+ until this week. I have a Mac so I initially started Guild Wars 2.. too chaotic for me so here I am back to UO. I love that this shard has real skill gain, good economy, and decent player base. However, I don't have a lot of time like I use to. Job, family, life, ect. What I want to do is start a Mage/Sword Char. I have been doing a little mining but it's just too slow for me now so this is a begging post. I want to know if anybody would be willing to loan me some gold. I don't know how much? Maybe 10k. Enough to get about 70ish Mage so try to kill some Air Ele's. I need to start with some action. I always use to play Level 2 Shame with my brother. My plan is to do Firefield for Resist/Mage to 55ish, then lightening to EB. I don't think it should cost a lot. But at that point I should be solid to kill some Air's right? I started with 60 str, 11 Int so I can cast firefield and hopefully the int will grow with the mage. Thanks in advance.

You should take your char and buy a sheps crook and get up to 100str while training herding in Brit stables then.
After doing that decide if you're making a provoker/tamer/hallymage and adjust accordingly.

Great. Thanks for the tip. I'm herding a dog right now. What do you suggest I herd at stables? I just found this dog at the bank..

Yeah do a search on the forums for "seesaw" that will get your stats done in about an hour.

I'm fairly certain he's not skill capped yet... but that's definitely an option if he is.

Also if you are on in the evening, send me a pm & I'll hook you up with a spellbook, for
your mage/provo char, which is a good starting char [cheap to make & make you good gold sooner] rather
then a mage/swords. Hally mages are [mage/swords] big here, so that would be a good 2nd/3rd, depending on
play style.
