First off, thanks to Storx, Omar and Tara for testing the game out at the pilot event, it was lots of fun!
How it works
It's easy! Bet on a "horse" represented by one of the four dyed floppy hats. All four hats start on the "START" tile of the track and race to the end! The first horse to the end wins, if you bet on the right horse you triple your money!
Horses move based on the roll of in-game dice. Since an in-game dice cup rolls two dice, we use the first die to determine which horse moves forward one space! If the first die is 1, horse 1 (blue) moves forward. 2, red, 3 grey, 4 yellow.
If the first die is a 5, we use the second die to determine which horse moves forward and that horse moves TWO Spaces.
If the first die is a 6, we use the second die to determine which horse moves and it moves BACK 1 space.
5, 5 all horses move forward ONE space.
6, 6 all horses move backward ONE space.
6, 5 and 5, 6 result in re-rolls.
In the event of a tie the tied horses have a race off over half the track to determine the winner.
Betting
You can make deposits with an authorized banker in town and bet using a bank which is tracked via me in Excel, or you can bet with deeds or gold on location.
The Brit GY gambling den is not responsible for gold stolen while on location or in transit, so we highly recommend using the in-town player banker to deposit gold for betting, or using deeds if you are a high-roller!
If you pick the winning horse your bet is tripled, bets can range from 1gp - patio deed.
FIRST PUBLIC RACES 9 PM EST TONIGHT 9/27
