UO Second Age

Hi

I was only half an hour away and when I come back, I was death (directly inside of Britian Bank).
Later I collected a box (which was on the ground) and died too.

Can someone explain why I died
a) close to the bank in an guarded area?
b) when someone is red can I call the guards or is it necesary, that the red player attacks me inside a red area and the I do have to call the guards?
c) what is the thing with the box? why is it going to explode after picking up?

Im guessing two things have happened here:

For dying at the bank, a few people, (or just 1) logged in on a garbage new character and "bombed" you with explosion potions, and yes that person got guard whacked but they dont care since they had nothing on them, thats why they kill people at the bank.

For the second scenario, the box was trapped, you most likely have the "auto open all containers you pick up" box checked in your razor, you need to disable that.

I saw it happen, I helped you out a couple of times.. But then i saw something shiny and wandered off..

It was a purple potter that got you...
