Error with new client and like-named characters

I used the first UO client provided by UOSA for years. More than 2 years ago I requested the client from Derrick since at the time I was hesitant to install anything crafted by Dagon. So now, I am attempting to reinstall the client from the UOSA download link (most current file), and there is a frustrating bug with characters.
In the older client, each of my several same-named characters could have different UO-client macros. With this new client, the character options (desktop.mul, macros2d, etc.) all read/write from one folder, organized only by character name. This rather frustrating for players with multiple characters of the same name, since they all must now share the same files.
It is for this reason that I respectfully request the older client that was provided prior to the Dagon-made installer.
