UO Second Age

ENTRY FEE: NO ENTRY FEE
LOCATION: Gladiator Thunderdome arena located in Aceopolis
TIME: 8:00pm EST
DAY: Sunday, March 29th
PRIZES: The Cunning ACEs will take care of the entire prize pot. We will be putting up 150,000GP for the event. 1st place takes 95k, second place takes 45k, third place takes 10k. There will be a loser bracket for semi-finals only to determine third place.

RULES:

#1.) No magic weapons, armor, jewelry, or wands.
#2.) Only refresh potions will be allowed.
#3.) 5 minute limit on duels. Healing yourselves past the 5 minute limitation results in a disqualification.
#4.) No summon spells of any kind allowed.
#5.) No pets of any kind.
#6.) No poisoned weapons.
#7.) No looting competitors.
#8.) No cutting corpses.
#9.) Winner will be decided by a best 2 out of 3 match-up to try and avoid those random "omfg he hit me 67x in a row with a hally for 40 damage each swing omfofmfmfwtf, Derrick! exploit!" bullshit duels.

We do ask that everyone please respect the tournament. In the field there are quite the number of enemies, but let's all have fun.

Well yeah, this is only going to be a 1v1 tournament. All types of pvpers are welcome, so why not come? You enroll yourself for FREE in a chance of winning 1/3 prizes. That's not all! We will ALSO be hosting some other FUN events which will take place earlier in the daytime, these events may include races, dog/chicken fights, ffa, bear(s) vs man, lottery, scavenger hunts, and other events that are aimed more towards the general player base of the shard. If you got any other suggestions we might be interested in let us know!

I'd love to do some dog/chicken fighting as well. As a side note, Do pets gain skills/stats in this era from fighting???

I believe so, like if the animal has magery, the higher the magery the higher circle of spells it can cast. I'm not sure how it works though for all skills.
