I don't know why anyone would sell arrows for 3 GP per.

To craft them you need boards, which sell on their own for 2-3 GP per without the requirement of feathers. And feathers are a considerably bigger hassle to gather.

NPC bowyers and provisioners sell them for 3 GP. There's no discount for being in the rangers guild. So who would waste all that time and effort recalling around buying up their stocks just to break even?

Feathers sell for 2 GP per on the NPC bowyer. But then you still need boards, which again sell for 2 GP+ per. So buying a feather for 2 GP leaves you gathering a board for only 1 GP. Hardly worth it, since they sell on their own for 2-3. You can go to covetous and gather feathers, but even there you are limited by the spawn rate. (Maybe something like a thousand feathers an hour?) And AGAIN, you still have to go gather boards...

4-5 GP per would more likely incentivize people to craft/gather arrows.

I sell arrows for 5gp each on my vendor and sell out faster than i can stock them. 5.5-6 is probably a more realistic price if you are "asking" to buy.

Multiple sources have confirmed that 5pg is a fair price.
