windows 8 and UO

just got a computer with windows 8 and attempted to download UO from the UOSA website with no luck. someone HALP

my laptop has windows 8 and it all runs just fine.

I do run it all as administrator and in xp compatibility mode. Razor & UO

When I try to download off the uosecondage site it tells me this "app" can not be downloaded on this computer or some shit. I know my friend chad tried coming back and playing on windows 8 and had troublea aswell.

Yeah, guess I didn't say this in the first post - Sorry about getting Windows 8.

Well, if you cannot even download the file.. Are you using internet explorer?

Trying downloading Firefox and using that.

Trying Right Clicking on the link and picking 'Save Link As'

Hopefully one of those work. You may have some permission problems with downloading files? Windows 8 is a fucking headache.

Are you on the actual desktop running Internet Explorer or that horrendous phone looking crap thing?

try downloading it while in desktop mode. infact stay away from their metro thing all together.

weird. i got it to work now. UO is installing. YAY now to set up razor. again.

I hate windows 8. But its all I have =(

PS .. hitting the windows key mid-fight sucks
maybe theres someway to disable it.. anyone know?

Use the FixIt downloads from their site or follow the registry instructions. Alternatively you can remap it to do something useful.

For Win8 users download the .reg files on this site and double click to add them to your registry.
