Tracking hack, what are people using?

Well I've only been hopping on when bored lately (since I'm no longer sick,) and have been trying to mess around with some pvp.
Sadly, I have found very little, and have had to resort to attacking noobs at graveyards in order to get my kicks. Keep in mind I have never killed one of them, nor do I even try too - it's just for fun.
But anyways, once I turn grey, I've been attacked by many and followed with a dogged pursuit. And I know, beyond all shadow of a doubt, there is some sort of hack they are using to track me. When people can hit me with a melee despite appearing about 6 spaces away from me, they are using a track program. When people can follow me flawlessly through the forests surrounding britain for over 5 straight minutes, they are using a track program. When an opponent can guage the quickest route through any area and even reach the area I'm trying to reach before me! They are using a tracking program. These people are easy to spot because they never say a word and do nothing but run their melee weapon up on you.
So I'm just curious, what is the program, and is it okay if I also use it on the shard?
I've got the codes and seen the hacks for a few, but I thought I would check with Derrick and any others who already use one first.

Ill chime in first, because i'm sure this is the thoughts of the admins.
the only third party programs allowed on the server are Razor and UOAM.
anything elce is cheating and will get you banned. don't fall into cheating just becuase you feel you need to be on an even playing field. the ones who did that (if its accually true, sometimes lag does wierd things) will get caught.

Also those with very high resolution monitors can jack their game sizes up to 1680x1050 and beyond, and see just about double the area than you may be seeing, so when it appears they are off your screen, doesn't mean they can't still see you.
just speculating...

I'm not aware of any third party programs that would allow you do "track" people. Your location is not sent to them if you are out of the client update range of 18 tiles. It's not like Everquest, where everything in your zone gets sent to you.
The tracking skill is the only way I know of to track people at such distances.

It's not hard to follow someone with hot pursuit when you've been playing the same game for over 10 years. You have all the maps memorized. If you have UOAM caching on, you know where the houses are located before you even reach them (so you know which way to run), if you've got 20.1 skill to spare, you have a flawless tracking skill use (it won't have awesome range, but if activated when near the person you wish to track, it is excellent). As for someone hitting you 6 tiles away, I'd blame lag or you might be out of sync (though 6 tiles is a lot of tiles to be outta sync)
I think you just got killed and you're not thinking straight because I seriously doubt someone is using any illegal programs or exploits to catch and kill you.

LOL OMG HAX!
Tracking program.
Most people (not me) have the tree stump patch, which helps... but chasing is NOT hard if you melee on a regular basis.

The irony of this thread is that a buddy I play with says that George Costanza finds him wherever he goes to the exact tile and which dungeon.
I haven't experienced that yet so I don't know.

99.9% of all hacking accusations just make you look retarded. This is not the .1%.
oh btw if your that bored try actually fighting someone, rather than seeing how far you can run before recalling.....

Well, on most runuo shards.. tracking is successful about 33-50% of the time when used at zero skill and detects about a screen or two (depending on your window size)
If tracking is just default here than this would certainly be why people are able to easily track you. Also, losing "track" once you have it is fairly difficult aside from your target recalling or getting 10 screens away...

This tracking program you speak of is called a functional brain. You should really try it out.

LOL
Nothing like some good-old-smack talkin by a bunch of tools on a message forum. This of course is not directed at Derrick or any other staff, just the other losers who are either too dumb or naieve to believe people don't use exploit, cheats, hacks, etc... But I didn't realize that the skill of tracking could be utilized so effectively, so some of the tracking ive witnessed could surely be attributed to that. And my deragotory comments are not directed at those who give intelligent replies, just those who like to talk shit on message boards.
No worries though, it's all in good fun. Cheers!
