UO Second Age

So, I'm hunting blood ellies this morning. Character named E S C O steals my kill. In retaliation I try to steal his kill, he gets pissy. Says "I will *&^%ing kill u". Which is kinda harsh but whatever. So I log in with a stealth character and stealth steal a few of his loots. Then I tell him if he pays me 5k, I'll cease and desist. He tells me to piss off.

So I continue to stealth steal from him and figure I'll also give him a count since he's casting EV. So I unhide and the EV attacks me. He turns grey. He's desperately trying to cure/heal me but I'm meleeing with the EV to stay poisoned. Then I run and hide and he can't find me. He's saying, "OK I'll pay you!" I ignore him and the poison kills me.

Then he turns red. What a stroke of luck.

THEN I return a while later and get this from the now-red E S C O:

me: dude, just how stupid do you feel now?
him: youll pay for this you stupid *&%$ing piece of *&%^, you **&&^ing made me perma red. Hope you burn in hell. *gay expletive*
me: heh awesome

I really don't grief people unless someone starts it, and refuses to finish it. Then it's ON.

...a bit off topic, but can someone explain the concept of "perma red" to me? Is it when you go red 5 times on separate occasions, or am I making that up?

Yes. The fifth time you turn red you can never turn blue again on that character.
