UO Second Age

This is a call out to call veteran UOSA players who have seen events from since the shard came to be. I am looking to build a catalogue of all the events that have happened and need all of your input to get it done.

Weve all seen the blue night of the neverending quest trophys? what are they for? and such stuff. What are the origins of all of the golden items.

If you have any memory of an event that took place please post it here and what it was about, and if there were any prizes.

The never ending quest is one? Tiberion? Ettin invasion. Drake and wisps at a moongate? chicken trophys? anyone? I have a blue bone helmet for an event? no idea where it came from. Anyone? Staff, do you have any you remember?

i can tell you chicken trophies

At 2:00 AM EST, just after Christmas 08', a bronze colored chicken attacked Buccaneers Den. It had the bite of a dragon, and the magical talent of a daemon. After 25 grueling minutes, the chicken was slaughtered. Upon its death spawned multiple trophies in a rectangular fashion around it's corpse, labeled "I killed a chicken." There were very few at this small, unexpected event. Guild TG showed up when the chicken was at 5% to PK the PVM'ers

Ettin Invasion (run by Maahes):

Diseased (green-colored) ettins were spawning on Valor Isle along with ogre lords, silver serpents, and perhaps ogres, all threatening to take over Brittania. Lord British called on heroes to help stop them. Some of the monsters had trophies on them and one of the ogre lords had a gold colored piece of clothing on it, though I'm not exactly sure what it was. I believe Coffee was the one who got it, so he probably remembers.



Wisps/Drakes at Yew Moongate (also by Maahes):

I think it started out with one special wisp spawning near there, then more started spawning, most of them having 4k gold as loot. Shortly afterward, drakes started spawning and one of the drakes had a piece of gold colored clothing. A sash maybe? I don't remember. I don't think there were any trophies given out during this event. My guess on the date for this would be May/June of 2008.

Just to give credit to the right people, the ettin invasion was set up and run entirely by Wintersleep.

Also a few more events that perhaps some players have any information on:

Crazy Maze Race: main price a pair of golden shoes.
Drake pit of death: (every player was dropped in a pit of drakes without any supplies, weapons or armor) I think a piece of golden clothing was awarded to the winner here too.
There was a special 2v2 where panties were awarded to the winner.
The quest to the fire temple. a few peices of ranger armor were awarded, i don't remember much from this one :/

I'll try to add more if I think of anything, my memory is terrible for these things.

No way! You totally ran the diseased ettin thing! I remember this for sure. Was Wintersleep a staff member back in September? The first thing I remember him doing was the Trinsic invasion.

In regards to the chamber of drakes, I was the winner of that event and there was not a piece of gold clothing as a reward, but there is the trophy:

You're right, I was thinking of the ettin invasion of vesper.
you definitely should of got a gold item for surviving that!! :p

There were a couple of dungeon crawls last year that were player organized events where the players received trophies at the end. I participated in the deceit dungeon crawl (http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1825). We basically just went room by room through the dungeon killing every monster we saw. At the end, the participants received trophies:


The other dungeon crawl was in covetous and took place on 8/21 (http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1709).

There where a couple quest back in march aprilish of 08. The ogre lord quest, and the minning quest, and there was one more. I dont rember what it was though. Then of course shal etar event, and a couple of ogre/orc invasions on vesper in between.

How would one help create world events or suggest storylines for PvM to the shard admins? I got some good ideas for some world events.

Don't forget about the mummy in the Britain graveyard quest and the guy who's laying dying in the forest that you have to retrieve an elixir for in Moonglow.
