UO Second Age

I recently created a blacksmith and wondering what are the benefits of joining the blacksmithing guild?

I'm familiar with the workings of the thiefs guild but not this one and I cant find info on it anywhere...
anyone have a clue?

All of the NPC guilds present members with the opportunity to purchase items at a lower price. For instance, my tailor buys bolts of cloth for 108gp instead of 120. In bulk, it can add up. I am not sure if they pay more for your sold items, and I also think fame and karma "may" have something to do with it, but I cannot quite remember.
