Merchant Union of Britannia

Hello everyone, I am Mazaraht or Erick Mundorf on this shard as some may already know. The purpose of this post is gain support from the community for my project to help strengthen this shard. I've been playing MMO's from...well ever since I can remember and after UO died in 2000 when Age of Shadows *grumbles* came out, so I never really had the same experience in an MMO. When I found this shard I was excited because UO is and always will be the greatest MMO ever.
My point is, all of us here are here for a reason and DO NOT want to see the shard die at the rate it is or wash out because of boredom. My project is to make a Merchant Union town with a Merchant Guild Hall where each major vendor can come and place a sample vendor with a book describing his main stores items and a rune to get there. This will create the first *Merchant Rune Library* which is long overdue here.
Now this will not just be a place for vendors, but a place for new players as well, take the new tamers who sell horses/llamas/ostards at the west brit bank...I want to put a stables in the town and let them sell to all even pks, with the support of the pk society Derrick will allow changes to make this possible so EVERYONE can benefit and create a place where trading and talk of all things UO can occur. Now I could go on and on about my plans for the town, but anyone who has come there with me and I have showed the history of the place to has understood and likes the idea of this town.
The town used to be kB(Khalkar Brigand's) town where Galm Grimmson the Guildmaster resided. He has unfortunately quit now but can still put it to good use being I was part of kB and very active. Now all major merchant guild leaders will have ownership qualities of the merchant hall of some sort to allowed supervision and interaction with the trading system. Now this will be a CUSTOM built Merchant Hall from the ruins that were ALREADY there to begin with, anyone who wants to see it can find Mazaraht in Britain or irc and i'll take them there and show them around. Some of the advanced ideas I have gotten from certain players are as follows, a custom *trading* room that Derrick can implace where no thievery can occur to negotiate trades. A casino on the top floor with chess, checkers, dice, and other events soon to be decided. A bank somewhere in this hall to allow for trading access and training in this town. This enclosed walled in area has trees and water all around it and mining down East so it will be a place for new players to craft and train and hold *fighting parties* to gain fame/karma and gold of course. There will be a docks put in eventually behind the Merchant Hall allowing fishing and people to launch boat parties from there, Joshua Lee's new Guild is already on track with that. These are a few of the plans for this *Shard* town essentially because it's not for me in any way shape or form, it's for this shard to keep it running and alive and for me to give back to the best game I have ever had the honor of playing. Please voice your thoughts and ideas and input on how this effects your Guild or just any ideas or feelings about it in general, Thanks to the UO players of this shard.
Side note-Yes I understand a trading room is a little farfetched, but its an open topic for discussion and should focus on other points not just that. As far as era accuracy though if you want to get into that, player-towns did not exist...so would you like all your nice things to vanish? Food for thought.
