Hi I was curious if animal lore has any effect on the actual taming of an animal/monster. basically is there any check on the animal lore skill while taming?

i.e.

gm tamer+gm animal lore tries to tame a nightmare has x% of success

vs

gm tamer+0 animal lore tries to tame a nightmare has x% of success


are those different %'s?

The ability to tame the creature is based on Taming skill alone. Animal lore only plays into the ability to control the creature (and Vet of course).

Vet plays into the factor of the ability to control a creature?

Sorry, no, That was phrased a litlle funny. Animal Lore affects Vetinary Healing in addition to control chance.
