Archery Swing Timer

I am thinking of creating a new character with Archery as his main combat skill. I want to know if Archery is a skill worth having. I am unaware of the current swing timer for Archery, and would like to find out. Can Archery be a competitive skill, and stand up against other combat skills?

P.S. I'm making a stealth archer

In a Tank-Mage situation, you need to be aware that archery does have instant-hit, but only when the swing timer has already advanced. You cannot unequip-wait-reequip and advance your swing timer. So dex does come into play, but you cannot deny that archery is great in groups.

get some good archery weapons, stay tabbed, and it is a killer. have it on one of my tanks and think its great. the higher end arch weps seem to hit a lot and do huge amounts of damage. stealth/arch is kinda orcish, but badass if you know where to hunt.

Does anyone know the current swing timer? I don't want to attack the swing timer without knowledge of it's actual time.

P.S. I think it's a little slow

Is the swing time gonna be reduced or somehow changed? Any other changes planned for archery?
