Server Wars too short

Server wars back at OSI were very long, often 30 mins? I cant recall to be sure.

Currently it is just ~10 mins. I propose SW be 30 mins once a week, on like a Tuesday night or something...

I voted no to the specific poll but I think increasing no save time by 10-15 minutes every day would do no harm. Server wars are great fun and its not like theres too many people playing at that time who would be bothered by the increased downtime. Also its probably a good way to get newer players learning pvp in a no risk environment.

I think that making it a mere 3-4 minutes longer is all that's needed.

The server restart in the mornings was setup as a strategic point for the downtime. It isn't that he doesn't want people to have a longer "server war" it's based on his schedule. RunUO script compilation loads updates when the server restarts. The server downtime is specialized at a certain time just before Derrick heads to work in the morning allowing him to get patches, updates, fixes, etc... in just before he leaves.

Damn, just another reminder that Derrick truly works hard to make this a good shard! Hell yeah Derrick 8)

I voted no. I don't know what It is, but I find myself on late at night, and sometime early in the AM, and I really like a short server wars so I can work chars and make gold lol

We used to have a 30 min no-save period and was reduced to 10 by player demand. We could do some custom one day a week thing for a longer one. I think it's important to remember that we have players that span the globe, and many from AUS which lands the restart right on peak hours. I'd go for making it 15 instead of 10, that would give me a little more time myself to do what I sometimes do in the morning too. With overwhelming intrest I could do it longer one one day a week, however I do value consistancy as I'm sure others can relate to not always knowing what day of the week it is.

15 minute would be about perfect, just enough time to kill everyone at wars. 10 minutes usually means a handful of people still up at the end.
