If you had to Describe the T2A Era in 10 words or less, 10 skills or less or 10 features or less what would they be?

**Also note if they ARE NOT implimented on Secondage**

Parts of this is information will be used in a promotional video for Secondage.

Thanks for your time

The pinnacle of awesomeness!

I know I'd play a game if that quote came up in a promo video.

What I am trying to achive by this thread is that I get an "idea" of what players remeber from playing in 1998 & 1999 so that I can show it in the video, fond memorys or era related things, so when a new potential player views it they go "Oh FUCK Yea I remeber that" "Whoa I forgot about that awesome"

basically giving the player flashbacks of their glory days, as oppose to say random PvP or PvMing or a CTF event or somthing which in reality all shard have in some form or another.

Feedback is GREATLY appriciated!

- True insta hit, not that incorrect mechanic for insta hit that you see on those other fake t2a shards.
- Precasting
- Risk vs Reward
- Accuracy, actually strives for accuracy unlike most other shards that use this false pretense to draw a population.
- Nostalgic interfaces(resurrect, craft, guildstone, house, etc.. menus)
- Old school ASCII text.
- Statloss
- Mounts
- Perfectly accurate meditation(aka no tank mages wearing leather)
- No unfair modifications of any particular feature that would alter a template to be better that wasn't the case during the era.

There are many features that could be listed that would take too much detail and probably would just confuse most people anways.

T2A? A Skill based and self defined game.

I remember reading this when I first installed the game. No other game gives you this freedom to answer for yourself...

"Who will you be? What will you do?

Huge. I'll never forget how huge the UO world felt to me when I first bought the game. The first character I created was a ranger with no magery ability, so I ran everywhere. The hugeness of the world reminded me very much of the single-player UO games, except that my guy wasn't some kind of avatar out to save the world. He was getting pummeled by great harts, and by other people! Every player couldn't be the hero. There were heroes, villains, merchants, lowlifes, and everything in between.

The thing about the T2A era was that whatever you found on your explorations, you could interact with it in any way that you wanted. That's how Ultima always has been, and it's how Ultima Online was supposed to be.

Exactly !!!! A cat attacked my first character and killed me, at that time most things would attack. I loved the Ultima games for the interaction and Garriott brought that to UO .

Upon further thought, I guess that phrase, "How Ultima Online was supposed to be", would be the way I would summarize the T2A era.
