Are we getting rid of events for the moments? No more trophies? Just a break? I'm not complaining, I'd just like to know the dealio =).

The events are still there as usual, some of them will no longer reward trophy points at the end.

It says there are no scheduled events...

So...uhh, what is the deal with events? Can we get official word or even wild speculation?

I am really, really hoping that CTF trophies are not done away with, unless ALL trophies are done away with. I realize that a few people controlling an extremely valuable resource has almost always been a part of UO, but for those of us who will never be one of the 10 best PVP'ers on the shard, CTF was our only way to earn trophies.

Until we resolve some issues with the CTF game they will not be scheduled, although we may run some manually. I'm turning back on the event scheduler for the other events.

Issues? If this is about Matron De Winter killing our LLamas and Ostards while we played CTF the other night, its ok, Ill tame another. But, if this is about something more serious could someone tell me what people are doin? I dont spend much time in IRC so i dont get all the latest info. It apparantly has something to do with automating the events...I dunno, people duping trophies?

When you do things like what is shown in that pic, it's highly likely that Im going to steal a few llamas. I do not kill them, I retame them to resell. I do not steal punny horses just to grief people, ridable llamas sell for good money. I have NEVER done this in the event room, while it is possible in 1 room (and only that one) it is an exploit and clearly unintended. I do not need to cheat.

People multi-client the events to harvest trophies and drive them up to insane prices. They use the event rooms to conduct secure trammel-esque trades. They enroll newbies to allow the other team to score massive points on double domination. They also exploit a loophole regarding the CTF flag timer and bring their characters to macro, abusing the free use system and ruining the game for their teammates. That is the problem.
