Don't know about therest of you but, maybe couldwe take the best of all the patchs and emplement some or take away others... not sure if you can or not some things were nice some weren't When did dragon armor dragon scales come in?

would have to strongly disagree with most of that, i joined the server because of the headlines, "UO second age, the way it was" note there is no: "the best of" or "compilation of eras"
to add those later implemented patches would go against it completely. don't get me wrong, bod's and such were awesome and all that - but i like how hard the game was back in t2a and prior. uo's fun factor starting going down with the pre:uor patching which took place after t2a.

I don't think it's hard at all... The game was always easy, some of the updates just add fun facor. all you need is a tamer and a couple dragons.. You need to keep adding stuff or else it gets that boring factor... not game change but excitement factor. Add the wow factor every couple months instead of same thing get dragon outta stable go kill demons restable do it again tomorrow... if thats wrong then you guys tell me... There doesn't have to be game changes I love the pre renosance and the other crap ninja knights nec stuff that sucked but along came with those came some good game aspets. Don't change the land as such but add to it which OSI took away. I started playing in 1995 and stopped playing in about 2000 2001 so I'm a oldy don't get me wrong I love this era as to the land layout. I would just like to see some of the stuff that made teh game more enjoyable.

We are very committed to making the shard as accurate as possible to the T2A era. I thin we're all in agreement that some of the changes that came in UO:R or later did add some good aspects to the game but we are very much under the mindset that the T2A era was really best best balance of risk and fun as taken as a whole. If we start piece-mealing in aspects of other era, it becomes hard to know where to stop.

hey guys, no need to tell the dude to leave..
Remember, OSI made expansions in an effort to give the playerbase more to do.. not to nerf what was already done.. We all agree t2a was the best time for UO and that certain aspects should stay out: BODS, gauntlets, etc..
BUT in all honesty i can sympathise with tigerhell, i mean there is only SO much someone can do in a t2a shard..7x chars and gaining the hard skills takes time but once there done the game can become somewhat "easy" and eventually boring.
I like the authenticity, but i am all for unique aspects to this shard.. i suggested a while ago a unique dungeon with entry tolls and requirements for advancement.. its all up the gm's.. some will like it some won't
But the point is aside from the auto events it's something to do and explore on our own time.. or make more quests, or harder quests, or more rewarding quests..
He's just looking for more to do, i remember seeing nemesis at the justice island runelibrary a couple days ago and he said he was goin through the runebooks to find somethin to do.. hence everything became "easy" for him

Aye. We are working to add more interesting content to the game that fits into the era. I agree entirely that especially with the small player-base things can eventually become mundane. We have three active quests right now and will be adding more soon. Thanks again plat for the very constructive post.

I think like late 99 or early 2000, I believe I came right as we reached UO:R
