Here is some evidence to support some of the claims here that energy field did in fact damage targets in a specific situation.
Note: Walking over doesn't mean pushing through either.
This was commonly used as a bug to gain magic resist inside of small towers when casted under the ladder stairs soon as the UOR publish hit. This same bug was possible when walking on top of blade spirits too.
