I think wandering healers have a unique AI. They'll hang out all over the place when you don't need them, but when you die, their AI goes "oh shit something killed someone, I'm out!" and they disappear.
Rezing is like sex; it's not important unless you aren't getting any.

I actually noticed a decline in wandering healers in places of heavy traffic which I am guessing is due to PK activity.

i've seen wondering healers traped in boats and houses (staff says its totaly legal, i paged and asked) so that might be were some of them are some of the time
