as of right now, it looks like this

magery
eval
med
music
provo
wrestling
hiding

the more i think about it, why would i need eval if i'm not going to pvp with this char? should i drop eval for peacemaking? maybe i should also drop hiding?

help me out here

I agree theres no use for eval in a bard set, unless you plan on nuking the mobs while they fight each other. Personaly I like the tamer/bard template.

For hiding you can just use magery(invis).
Anyway.. Tamer bard template

Animal taming
Animal lore
Magery
Meditation
Musicianship
Provoction
Veterinary

Now i do take ALOT of damage from spells. If i get hit with an FS from a whitewyrm or a dragon it hurts badly. Other than that this is a PVM machine.

personally i'd leave the template as it is.. i've had huge success with that template, both pvming and avoiding pk's.. Very useful
BUT if you must get taming, there's a great taming guide in the guide's forums

if i get in trouble with pk's, all kill should work

i also would like to have two type of characters in this guy (bard & taming) instead of having a barder and a tamer seperately. also, i think the bard/tamer will make $$$ faster.

chem, do i really need vet? i have never used it, i figure i could get by with gheals

edit: btw, i figured out i should just stay on ice isle for awhile and taming everything i see to train taming

My bard is of the t-hunting variety:

Musicianship
Provocation
Lockpicking
Cartography
Magery
Meditation
Hiding

yes vet is vital on a tamer, gheals only do about half of what a bandaid does

Unless you're weedsmoke and never get vet, and never get past 97ish taming, then go red, then take statloss, then go to 95ish taming/97 lore from statloss, then try to control 4 dragons fighting 2 daemons and a balron at once, then go into a rage and spam obscenities in IRC and blame everyone else because he and his pets died.

But it wasn't his fault at all...

wow.. way to take the thread way off to left field on a rant. Storm did you know that your avatar is a broken image? Maybe its not that way for everyone tho, Its probably something on my browser.

Tek the guide section has alot of info. Read all the threads on taming. Best advice is to always be taming the hardest thing you can tame. You gain on fails as well. Circle ice isle over and over.. taking your tamed pack to a snow elemental or a wandering healer to recycle. Go to bulls in delucia RIGHT when you hit 71.9. All this is in the guide section.

Veterinary is vital.

If you knew weedsmome like most of us, you'd understand.

Also I am aware my avatar is a broken image. I haven't really felt the need to fix it.

Edit: I fixed it just for you.
