Selling to NPC vendors

Selling to NPC vendors was always limited to 5 unique items, not 5 items total.
I searched around to see if this was discussed somewhere, but after 5 pages of search results I gave up.
Cheers,
Ulf.

I have made a comment or two about this in the past. For example, selling 5 stacks of different reagents to a mage npc will bypass the 5 item limit. This should not be the case when selling to NPC's. You were required to sell 5 items at ALL times. This means if you have a bottle pile of 100 potions you would have to make a transaction of ONLY 5 bottles per sell instead of the entire pile counting as one item bypassing the 5 item limit.

You should be able to sell 5 different stacks, not 5 items total. You were never limited to just 5 items total.

I just tried selling 5 different gems in stacks of 1-3, totaling 10 gems, and it said I could only sell 5 at a time.

Are you sure? As I recall you could only sell 5 items at a time. This was why selling tailored equipment was such a slow process. Then again, I suppose thats 5 different items and not stacks. Hmm...

That is the way that it functions on the demo and this particular feature wasn't changed until its alteration after the t2a era.

Sorry to resurrect an old discussion, but I have to ask for clarification on this one.
I also could have sworn it was 5 unique items, not 5 individual items. So 5 types of gem, but any number of those gems..
Is this a certainty?

Ahhhh.. Well, if if 5 items at a time is accurate, than I must be mistaken then!
Thanks for clearing that up.
Again, sorry for bringing up an old thread.

Razor has a built in sell agent. Its extremely useful for this situation. Just set your "hot bag" then change the max sell amount to 5 and you're good to go.

LOL... x2. I've been doing this also ><
Though it doesn't really make that much difference, since I use the sell agent
edit: nm apparently you cant sell stacks anyway

The reason for this is that vendors only buy so much, and their prices changes according to how many they have on hand. Here as on OSI for the same reason.

I remember having to sell gems one at a time even if I had a pile of the same type. Other stackable items I'm not sure about, but if someone made me guess I'd say there were stackable items you could sell more than 5 at a time.
