New Ores

Hi
I'm new on this shard but i played uo for some years before. I noticed that platemails don't rly matter here and an mount of ores is very poor. All of pvpers are almost naked which is kinda weird to me. There appears my idea- new ores. Let me present the advantages of this idea.
At first, fighting people who wear expensive PMs is much more enjoying, maybe i'm wrong but as i could see most of warriors wear only some clothes and an exceptional weapon. Secondly, various ores cause the economy would raise and become more interesting.
I have to admit that the main source of my idea is my previous shard which is already dead

There are colored ores here already directly from the T2A era.

Those are all the colors.. but keep in mind the bonuses on each armor are not here.

NL didn't die because he had a lot types of ores only from other reason...
@topic
Awesome idea.
Bio~, in it isn't against colour armours but for adding variety for warriors and miners, what is the fun where a half of server run with same pm's? ... As a matter of fact, how the author of the idea called, economics will improve.
New types of the armour can have only more arm nothing more...

Perhaps...Perhaps not. But per the basic tenants of the shard, this will not be added. This shard is going for T2A accuracy, not T2A accuracy plus some changes people think would be cool.

Yes, this shard ONLY goin but he isn't, that is diference... If something is good why you can't do it? Why you must do everything by force?

tell me, what can you loot when you kill some guy? exceptional weapon and.... regs? maybe fancy shirt? as i said PvP would become more interesting and ENJOYING, many types of armors would make PvP also profitable

1. I said I was just giving him a hard time. I don't care why NL died. 7 PM's is enough.. they got it right the first time (as usual). Who knows if it really improves economics.. that's just a weak point brought up even though you do not know if this would in fact improve the whole entire economy. I would need to see some hefty paperwork to prove that this helped the economy... I'm sure you are not worried about proving it though.. and even if you are it does not matter and that brings me to my next point.
2. New platemail colors are not going to happen as the aim of the shard is era accuracy.

I dont think people would argue this... I remember hearing about 1 shard that had less med restrictions for higher colored plates. (So mages could wear val and ver plate which opens up a whole new mining/smithing economy as well as a PvP target of miners..)
Regardless...as others have said it doesnt matter how cool or neat it sounds. This shard's vision is accuracy. Love it or hate it, thats what you have here.

To the original posters...go to:
http://www.uosecondage.com/
Read the block of text in the middle that says "Simply the way it was".
I have 1000 good ideas they should implement...thank god they won't. Hoots has 1000 too I bet. We all have 1000's of ideas that would make the economy and game l33t.
Of course, half of the ideas conflict with each other. And by the time you implement the non-conflicting half...you aren't playing UO anymore.

@3up
One word, lol... more pm doesn't mean the better economy? Listen, what more types of pms that more persons will be buy better armor. Of course, that the ones won't be worst to sell, but by it will be able to use for doing bs. How I already said it isn't about a colour, but for it, that 7 types of armor where is only half used is too little. Look at the second part of the statement chmielnickas, more pms more enjoying pvp!
@2up
Accuracy? Again lol... You can add only 5 - 6 new ores, not 20...
@up
Yea, shards with more ores aren't anymore shards uo... Remember, that is PRIVATE shard and he will never be like the original, you must be reconciled with it...
edit : I don't think so more ores = more difficult game

Yes, its a private shard he owns. And he has already chosen, before you ever posted, to not include or implement your idea.

Your are voice of this shard? It is your sentence. I don't know what wrong you see with adding a few new ores, so are you afraid that it will make it difficult for you the game?
Ultima isn't easy game... Just look on new games, they are 10x easier thank uo

I'm not a expert about this shard or anything but I think you don't realize what this server is about. This shard is about era-accuracy, that means it's trying to emulate the game the way it was circa... 1999 I believe?
10 years ago, players were generally happy with the way the game was and after that point, UO began to change and turn into something that alot of players didn't feel inclined to follow along with. So in desperate longing for nostalgic gameplay, this free shard was created with the sole purpose of re-creating that game alot of us remember.
So the introduction of new ores (regardless if it's a good idea or a bad one) would be a clear skew away from how the game used to be. It would be like going to a Renaissance Fair and saying. "
You know... all this is fine and everything, but you know what would be better? Steam-Power!" It just doesn't fit with the intended idea.
