This is a 2-d online shooter that is skill based that is only 13.7 megabytes.

10k entry fee.

You have little less than two weeks to practice.

The first person to win three deathmatch maps win 1st place.

It will start on August 26th, Wednesday at 8:00 PM EST. I will pm the server to contestants an hour before the event starts. Contestants are more than welcome to join the server and practice for an hour.

1st place prize - 80k, Trophy, 2 vanqs
2nd place prize- 50k, Tribal mask, 1 vanq
3rd place prize- 35k, Painting, 2 power
4th place prize- 25k, id wand

I have no idea if anyone will want to do this but if it goes well I'll host one once every two weeks. They also have CTF maps and Infiltration, where bravo defends a flag and alpha tries to get the flag and bring it back to base. And if we get more people in it we can raise the prize money for the 4 prizes.

Barrett FTW. Also M79 is awesome, takes some practice to understand how to shoot that properly. Nothing better than seeing a perfectly aimed shot carve out a long arc and land on your enemies head.

Yeah I'm really good at the m79 as well but I try not to use it as much because it's commonly known as the noob weapon, once you get in a rhythm it's one shot kills all the way home lol. Yeah I am alright at the ruger but that is probably the one weapon I hate going up against with the hk, ruger pisses me off sometimes. Two quick shots dead. Pisses me off haha. Also I own with the spas as well, i can sometimes even take out people semi-long distance with spas. I dont know if more people take some interest maybe we can hold another event soon.

i haven't played soldat in a while, so i don't remember quite well which one is the m79. is it the main nade launcher or the secondary rocket launcher also known as LAW? I used to like the m79 in the begining, but i used it so much i became sick of it. The LAW it took me ages to know how to use it, until i found out i had to be crouched to use it. The shot is too fast and i feel no satisfaction using that. When i got to be an above-average player i started fiddling around with the throw knife thing, but i never quite mastered it. Needless to say my secondary weap was the pistol most of the time

i'd be very interested in a soldat event with folks from the community, be there a reward or not. Thing is, i'm cursed: i'm using linux, and last time i tried i was having some trouble resizing the window. Im used to running soldat in windowed mode, 640x380 i think. It's a really small one. Nowadays it's always on fullscreen and i don't like playing like that :\

Yeah I always roll with the socom pistol. Those 12 quick shots can be lethal if you aim it right. Yeah never was a fan of the knife to be honest, never wanted to take the time to practice it. This game is mostly about practice with each individual weapon just about, getting use to the aiming arch they have.
