do you need to move locations in order to gain skill? like lets say you gain .8 of resist just blasting yourself in the same spot, but you dont see a gain for the next 20+ hours. has this tile/location run out of skill points to give? i've noticed that once i hit that 'wall' i'll move to a different spot (a few screens away) and will see a gain in less than a hour. is this just luck?

Aye, it's just luck. The same types of myths surround eating too. It seems like it works, but it makes no difference.

It does seem like the food thing helps some. It seems like after eating my guy misses less.

8x8 came with uo:ren

Food affects passive stamina/hp regen (possibly mana?) No casting difference, no skill gain difference etc

I've noticed that when you click certain parts of the spell icons they fizzle less and do more damage. Honest.
