Re: Can we please put an end to this???
You really don't even need to tame bulls to get to GM. The only time I tamed them myself was if I just happened to run across one. It was easy enough to get GM without them

Re: player vendors
I also agree that vendors should look and work exactly as they did in '99. No point now in picking and choosing after a lot of other "inconvenient" changes took place. Though not all of the changes are great, I do like the consistency that if it was in/out in T2A then it's changed regardle...

Good work, I wonder if that would make GM blacksmithy more or less expensive

Re: Blacksmith, min skills for weps
I'm not saying you're wrong or that the page isn't from Oct 99, but frequently despite whichever date I click to go to UO Stratics on the Wayback Machine, the links from UO Stratics don't always open as that date. Ex: This is the Oct, 12 1999 UO Stratics page, however click on Parry Essay, it's from...

Re: Cost..
As for that patch, I thought it just meant that your weapon skill should be as close to the target's weapon skill for best gains, not that you need to both be using the same weapon skill. I was raising wrestling on a new char, used a regular jhelom fighter and the gains were .1 or so every few minu...

Re: Cost..
50k sounds like the right price range, but you can get a character up to 90 resist and GM magery (or close to it) for a lot less and still have a very playable character. It's mostly the resist that sucks. As for the weapon skill, before the patch, I would just use a polar bear that another characte...

Re: New!
I didn't mean I was going to give the guy a small house or anything. When I started someone was kind enough to give me a full spellbook and 1k gold, so the least I can do is help out new players with some scrolls and a bit of cash to buy a few regs and some bags. I didn't even ask for those things w...

Re: New!
Hello Sheivan, welcome to the server. Besides your thread getting de-railed/trolled by idiots bickering with each other and making asinine requests, I think you'll enjoy this shard. You may have slightly better luck asking in IRC for help (though many that frequent this board are in there as well), ...

Re: Concerning this server
like a deed with $10 donation that resets murder counts as another example or other unique and valuable items. Because you can't donate money for items is one of the main reasons I play on this server. When looking for my first free shard to try, that was the first thing I checked. If you want some...

Do you remember how many bandages you went through? I haven't worked on my vet in a few days, but at this rate it's going to take me over 25k most likely

Re: Thieves defending themselves
A bit more searching and I found the later dated UOSS article on The Thief . Unfortunately it's dated 7/13/2000, but it doesn't have much use either. All it confirms is at or before this date then there were some times you could defend yourself. Getting Attacked Often times aggravated victims, who l...

10/30/98 Oddities
I stumbled across an old UOSS page from 10/30/98 that lists a bunch of oddities or other facts about the game back then. I just thought I'd share it in the hopes that some day these will be added or looked into. UOSS Oddities I can only pray that we already have mystic llamaherders here. I'll also h...

Re: Thieves defending themselves
I thought I remembered thieves fighting back after I attacked them as well, so I decided to look into it a bit. However according to this Stratics article on 1/1/2000, if you're perma-grey and kill someone that attacks you, they can give you a murder count which will kick you from the thieves guild....
