Can't refresh/rename ship if key in backpack is on a keyring
Hi, as per the title folks.
If I drop the key off the ring it allows refresh and rename, but wont allow it when the key is on a keyring. I can still unlock/lock from the key while it's on a keyring.
I don't honestly know if this is a bug or accurate but it seems worth a mention after the recent related patch.

Thanks, will try and fix asap.
This will be fixed tommorrow morn. This also had implications for controlling the ship; You do not currently have command of the ship if the key is on a ring.

Weird considering you don't even need a key to refresh boats after the latest patch.

"You will now need a key in your pack to refresh or rename a boat", or words to that effect. That's what led to discovering this problem.
Thanks for the fixing response Derrick.

Re: Can't refresh/rename ship if key in backpack is on a key
This is related, you can use locked down keys if they are on a ring. I do not think this should be so.
Re: Can't refresh/rename ship if key in backpack is on a key
I don't really know if that may be correct Matron.
The locked down feature for this time frame allowed all items to be double clicked. If this wasn't the case than dye tubs wouldn't be usable. I don't think OSI tweaked specific code for certain items to have access that were locked down.
This is something that needs further work before a conclusion can be reached. However, something defnitely doesn't seem right about a few things such as the house keys, etc...

Re: Can't refresh/rename ship if key in backpack is on a key
House doors were left open, and a barrier of some sort was used. Or, people woulc carry the key and use a barrier. Sometimes they would just carry the key, which was nice for whomever got ahold of it.
I do not remember every little shack all over the countryside having a usable key on a ring locked down on the porch by increasing its height.
Surely this is verifyable somehow.

Aye, the alility to lock these down in this manner is likely a UOSA specific bug and should be fixed. I do understand that it was possible to do this on tower steps though, which were larger.

Re: Can't refresh/rename ship if key in backpack is on a key
I think that locking a key down there is legit (a tower porch), but I do not believe anyone should be able to use a locked down key.

Locking a key/key ring down on the porch steps is a bug.
