Re: Should i play?
Definitely.
There is no shard more legit then UOSA. The staff is dedicated and have been doing this for over 3 years.
Its a good place to settle in. There has never been a shard wipe, and they don't delete accounts.
Plus its authentic T2A, the best era of UO to exist.
Welcome.

Re: Should i play?
My only reservation in recommending this shard is that one of the staff members, namely Maahes, will force you to spend an hour alone with him in the so-called "Love Shack."
Otherwise: A stable shard, ran professionally, with a clear set of guidelines on how they want the shard to develop (i.e., era accuracy). It doesn't take forever to get started up (unless you want, as some do, to build everything up without macroing), yet there are a million things to do, especially if you take the initiative to make things happen.
So, yes. There will be whiners. There will be immature people. There will be a guild dedicated to nothing but stealing your hard earned loot (i.e., cA). But there always are and always will be such people. The upsides, however, are not to be found on many, if any, freeshards out there right now (or in the past). And, honestly, having people to genuinely fight against (and that isn't limited to LEETPVP) is a part of why UO is so much fun.
