Should there be a chest for newbies to get some start up items out of, located at Britain Bank?

Newbie Item Chest at Britain Bank....

Post by weedsmoke »

I propose a chest that only characters on accounts 1-7 days old can access. I myself as a tamer run into stuff that is too troublesome for me to sell, either NPC or Player Vendor, so i'd much rather just trash the stuff. "a massive platemail tunic" for example. Crap like that. Instead of trash it, why not have a chest noobs can get magics from? :p

If not, I'll just start trashing the shit too. Doesn't matter to me, but I thought this would be a better idea.

I propose a chest where I can re-aquire the ego I lost to weedsmoke and his friend after they gang PK'd me when I foolishly fell for the "Do you want some gold? Come to my house", trick.

Of course, taking the time to type "lol fools" before trapped pouching out of paralysis was probably a little silly as well...

I think that its a very good idea. im not the kind to keep alot of things in my bank , i would probably fill that chest with low magic items. Great idea Smoke.

This game is easy enough as it is. There is no need for this.

Although this is a noble idea and I do appreciate the thought the weedsmoke and many others have put into player retention, I'd much rather encourage new players to interact with others, which I think this would discourage. "The walk of the dead" quest is designed to get new players some cash and starting equipment.

I elected to make a post on the brit bank bulletin board about it rather than an announcement in here, but talk to Sagen at the guard post near brit bank. You'll have to talk to him for a little bit to get the quest (you'll recieve a quest note in your pack). The quest is also only "do-able" at night, you may need to turn off your light filter if you have it on to see when it's actually really dark.

Cool. :) I get into a bit of a rut with the game sometimes. Hunting in the same old spots, mining, mining, chopping... more mining. I might have to do some exploring and questing. Is it worth while checking the boards in other towns?

The brit board is the most active, so even if I post anything somewhere else it'll be sure to show up at brit too
