Clean up Britannia Part Deux?
Clean up Britannia Part Deux?
I know what's been said, and blah blah blah..... but wouldn't the subscription/donations rise if there was another CUB? Wouldn't it be fun for us hoarding newbs?
Thoughts?
(for those that chose What is CUB? - - - - > viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3430 )

Don't you have an entire CASTLE full of NEA items? Isn't your blood type N (Neon)?
Obviously there are some who believe the Neon crap should die and stay dead (I happen to agree). I'm more for the fun of it. Interacting with players - turning in all the useless crap, finding more useless crap by PVM, PVP, PKing, purchasing more.. etc... I'm sure the "rewards" available could be tweaked to in-era accurate stuff (Black Dye tubs, statues, furniture dye tubs, special armor, restyle deeds etc.) Possibly throw in a few new high priced ticket items (in-lieu of not having an item bless deed available which WAS in-era)
I hope the powers that be and their support staff could reach a balance with the continuation and success of this shard with what their personal lives demand. Possibly team up with the more active and affluent players who already create makeshift events to invigorate the shard (*cough* Ashborn *cough*). There's several of people that are honest and probably would be willing to help given the chance.
Let's celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the 9th year anniversary of the original Clean up Britannia!

The part about Vegas blood type being type n for neon made me lol
Vega you really do live in a trammel museum. Know what's sad though, Abe? Vega, for all his neon shit, doesn't have neon hair because he doesn't like it. Its a sin.

Neon hair is /too/ far. So are neon sandals. I don't like NEA items that you can wear.

CUB would help newer players be able to tap into the economy a bit easier and add incentive for newer players to stay.

Re: Clean up Britannia Part Deux?
Have you people even read the "N" threads that have been posted about this?
Here's a summary:
(a) it will NEVER happen again
(b) CUB encourages hoarding, hoarding raises the number of items in the server, a larger number of items in the server = longer save times, save times sucks, therefore CUB = sucks
(c) Fortunately staff has said it will never happen again regardless of what players say
(d) WIN!!!

Re: Clean up Britannia Part Deux?
Piruls right, I remember Derrick saying CUB caused more items to be made and hoarded then it did to get rid of them, as crazy as that sounds. So I doubt it will ever come back.Pirul wrote:Have you people even read the "N" threads that have been posted about this?
