The Man Upstairs

The council of elders gathered with Garth and his assistants to talk about the Lord British's latest actions in Wind.

Garth dismissed the concerns of the council, stating that British's actions have been justifiable. Garth's assistants then served the council the House tonictm and concluded their meeting. Since then, Garth hasn't been seen around the castle. Something is suspicious.

Consult with locals in Britain outside of British's Castle to see if you can find out what might be going on.



Main Adventure
Seek out information as to where Garth Gooblenubin may have wandered off to. Search around the city of Britain for unusual suspects.

I have the item "dwarven copper coins" that appears as a stack of five coins. Is this what is required for the trade-in for the decorative copper coins? Or do I need five sets of five coins?

Dwarven copper = trade in
Dwarven copper coins = decorative coins

One "Dwarven copper" looks like a tower of coins. They aren't stackable, so you'd need 5 of them (5 "stacks of 5 coins")

"Dwarven copper" will auto-decay sometime after Sweeping Justice ends.
"Dwarven copper coins" will only decay by standard mechanics (leaving on ground, trash barrel, etc)

Hiding in the Lord's Cellars

An interesting discovery has been made under Lord Blackthorn’s keep. There’s an old wine cellar in Blackthorn’s kitchen which leads to a sub-basement.



It is in this basement which a secret laboratory exists. Garth Gooblenubin, once a trusted associate of Lord British, now appears to have been a Blackthorn spy.



Don't worry murderous felons! You have not been forgotten. You can find an entrance to these tunnels near Britain Graveyard.



Main Adventure
Battle the evil beings lurking below Blackthorn's keep. Figure out how to blast through the rocks which are currently blocking a set of stairs.

The Lost Arena

A few nights ago, Lord of the Drum Solo discovered explosive kegs within Five’s lair under Britain.

Somehow, he managed to roll those kegs through Britain, up through Lord Blackthorn’s castle, down into the cellar, and right up to the stone steps by Garth’s altar. Moments later… an explosion!

What lays beyond the steps in Blackthorn’s cellar? A lost CTF Arena, right under West Britain! (Thanks Mammoth)







Be careful while down there, you might find the sewer system slow to navigate at times.

Battle the evil villains in the Lost CTF Arena. Don’t let them get into the main sewer system!

Side Adventure
Jason the Guard Captain has a quest for anyone willing to purge the sewers of the gathering threat. You will find him near the sewer entrance in Britain.


This is the final dwarven copper quest.

Defeating Evil
A trap door has been located in Five’s lair in Britain sewers.



The hole leads to a swampy sub-sewer laboratory occupied by Garth and his associates. This is the final stretch for Garth’s gang. There’s nowhere to run! Purge this sub-basement of all evil.



It’s going to take a few days of brawling to clear the sewers of these thugs.



On Friday, December 8th, through Sunday, December 10th, Garth Gooblenubin will make periodic appearances on the battlefield. In-game broadcasts will be made in the time leading up.

This is a boss encounter, similar to previous battles, you can expect a unique and very difficult type of fight compared to typical event spawn.
