Phoenix Armor and Blessed Items

Post by Magus »

I seem to remember that all Phoenix armor pieces were blessed, however they were not labeled (blessed).

Also, how come items blessed here by clothing bless deeds are not labeled (blessed) ?

I'm not sure when the blessed tag came in. If it's accurate for CBD'd clothing to be blessed I think we can add it.
I just never personally remember seeing that prior to Jan 2000

Considering that blessed clothing would have only come in a couple of months before January, it probably stands to reason that all clothing had the (blessed) tag.

I know that blessed weapons had the tag for sure.. I'm pretty positive that I recall my several blessed black sandals having the tag too.

People tend to screw the display of the tag up on t2a shards though. It should be displayed the same as the (frozen) tag does when paralyzed beside your name.

Examples:
sandals (blessed)
a halberd of vanquishing (blessed)
etc...

The only items that didn't use a tag were newbied and cursed items.

Phoenix armor is blessed?

I have one piece here and had three on OSI. I've never let them leave the house though for fear of losing them.

Clothind-deed and Item-deed blessed items sported the [blessed] tag for sure. I had a full set of pheonix armor in T2A and while it was blessed (I even sported it on my murderer for a while) it did NOT have the [blessed] identification. It was blessed in the same way that spellbooks were. I believe only items that had a blessing deed used on them came to have the [blessed] tag.

/also, please no item-bless deeds, and dont bless pheonix armor!

The only pheonix armor that is blessed is the pieces redeemed though Clean-Up Britainnia in in December. All other pieces on the shard are unblessed.

It does make sence to me that items that were blessed using a deed would be [blessed] and items that were naturally blessed, just as spell books and CUB items would not be.

Aye, all the CUB items are blessed as per OSI.

Exactly how I remember it. Also, if you used 2 CBDs on an item, you had double-tagged clothing. This was eventually fixed though

It was pretty likely that the physical bless deeds actually appended the (blessed) tag to the end of an items name when it was used on that kind of item. Anything that was naturally blessed didn't have that particular naming scheme but still had the same naming convention.
