anyone point me to a thread about how the murderer/red/statloss/count system works here?

if u kill 5 ppl u go red.. and if you die u will go in statloss furthur knowledge do a search on forums :]

There are two types of counts listed below.
Short Term - Decay every 8 hours of actual logged in game play. These type of counts is what determines if you're in statloss or not. When you hit 5 short term counts you're a candidate for statloss. The amount of statloss that you take is scaled from 5-20 counts with a minimum value of 9% to a maximum value of 20% in a permanent loss of stats and skills if you resurrect your character from death.
Long Term - Decay every 40 hours of actual logged in game play. These type of counts is what determines if you're character is red or not.
There is another counter called "Ping Pong" aka "Perma Red" that determines if your character will be red forever. However, this counter is not yet active and not sure if it will ever be even though it's accurate to the era we are replicating. This type of counter records the amount of times you turn red and after 5 or more you will always stay red regardless of your long term counts.
That is pretty much the way this system works.

so not every red is a candidate for statloss then right?

I miss Dread Lord red, where you go red from killing blue NPCs and performing other negative karma acts.
