it does seem like ev is broke.....for instance the casting invis on your self when you get ev humping the mob doesnt allways work. they both just sit there. also i distinctly remember if 2 ev and or bs were on screen they would instant aggro each other

I read the update to this and the "proof" of the website provided was shady at best and didn't mention anywhere that NPCs no longer attack EVs...this seems like a rather incorrect fix (though the 1 tile away thing does seem to be accurate if you don't want it to attack you) for something that really wasn't nearly this broken, previously.

You just need to put a little effort into it. Instead of casting the EV beside the monster or between you and the monster, try casting it on the other side of the monster. The trick is simple just get the EV to chase you and force it to run into a monster and it will attack it. Either by luring it or casting it right by a monster you need to get them one tile apart from each other. Yeah it use to be easier to pvm with EVs here but after they changed it it really wasn't hard to adjust to it.

I actually like it better this way, you have to work a little more for the gold. It was kind of boring just being able to cast a EV and let it kill everything while you go farm somewhere else.

Also when you cast it make sure you are at least more than like 7-8 tiles away or something. You might be casting it to close and that is why it's going after you so quick.

I agree but it seems you need to do 1 EV for every one mob, as NPCs no longer attack EV and the EV won't attack them.

Yeah I hear what your saying and I am assuming you don't have provocation. In those cases you gotta lure all the monsters somewhere like in a corner so the EV will keep aggro on you forcing it to kill all the monsters. And if it's in a open field what I would do is once the EV is on a monster just run around and hide closeby. When it's done killing, run around and force the EV to aggro on you making it bump into another one.

Once you practice it for a bit it will just come naturally.

Wow things changed alot since I was gone.
If you target it by other players and they stand their ground without moving will they also not be the victims of EV attacks?

I do have provoke, it doesn't let me provoke it even though I have GM provoke. Am I missing something?

By provoking a few mobs into a cluster, it makes it easier to get the EV to grab a new target.

Gotcha, thanks. Usually just use the EV to clean up Tmap spawns I'll make sure to provoke all crits before EVing.

Been doing as others have said works better but doesn't seem accurate. Provoke a cluster...EV then kills all of the cluster except the last monster then the EV and the last monster go their separate ways.

I couldn't hide after casting a EV. It mostly target me right away, so it prevent me from hiding and chasing me down the street. Unless there are wall units etc which helps blocking its path, but then it wouldn't even attack anything even if I hide.. and strangely the EV just wanders around doing nothing unless it runs directly into a mob or animals.

It isn't just happening once or twice.. since I am relying it to hunt as a mage.
