The mechanics got even stranger: for example, I remember being able to teleport through the wall on the second floor of the Delucia inn.
I realize without any very specific details of the exact mechanics, this would be very hard to replicate.
I also had a question about the karma loss values. Are these era accurate?

I realize that stratics page was probably written long after T2A, but could karma loss values have changed that drastically since then?
At unsavory, summoning daemons causes me to lose a little karma. Killing blue NPCs causes me to lose a little karma.
Heres another page which looks like it is a lot older than the above one (perhaps around the time of UOR?):
From: http://uo.stratics.com/content/guides/dread.shtmlNPC Karma Loss
1. Peasants, bards, artists, farmers, fishers, miners, any mundane NPCs (least karma loss)
2. Mages, female healers
3. Male healers, NPC guildmasters
4. Nobles, Seekers of Adventure (most karma loss but beware of mercanaries)
Killing seekers of adventure and NPC guildmasters at unsavory causes me to lose a little karma.
