Here is a post that says you could bandage while hidden. I know you can bandage then hide, but bandaging after you hide reveals you.

If the patch is dated before the end of the '99 year it would be accurate.

Yeah it was early 99...I forgot it was Nov 99 not Nov 98 that was the cut off date
