Anyone in UOSA have experience in website developement?
Are you someone with vested interest in UOSA?
Do you use the trade forums?
Do you have the ability to create a trade forum or auction type site?
Well then you meet the standards to PM me and find out wth i'm talking about.
You will find out why you need to pm me when you pm me.

Might as well just come out and say it. Our trade forums are most likely going to be shut down and we have a few mods willing to help, we can host on derrick's server.
We just need someone to set it up.

I think the general idea here is for us to have less sticks in the fire. We've had too much trouble with player moderation in forums and IRC, and I personally feel that staff resources are better directed elsewhere. This isn't the fist time this has been proposed. Think uo.tradespot of era.

There are five billion open source forum engines. Hell just use the same one Derrick uses.
Derrick, why dont you just stop moderating the trade forums? You can hide them like trash talk?

#UOSAtrade on IRC!!!
BTW, leaders of the bigger guilds PM if you would like OP in the trade room. There is no reason we cannot regulate ourselves in a civil manner. Thank You

I don't think an unmoderated trade forum is much use to anyone, we could just call it "trash talk 2"son wrote:Derrick, why dont you just stop moderating the trade forums? You can hide them like trash talk?

Let's keep this constructive. It still stands that we need someone who is able to set something up for us.
We said we would do the upkeep, just need a builder.

Re: Anyone in UOSA have experience in website developement?
Seems like re-inventing the wheel.
Why spend the time to build a new forum, spread the word, cause people to re-write, or move existing advertisements etc....
There is already a tool in place for allowing people to post up sales, want ads, price checks, and trades in one easy to find location. (Two for those who actually use IRC)
If the problem lies within having bad moderators, don't give people with God complexes authority.

I could see this being really cool if it somehow integrated an online auction house that could connect to our accounts and we could buy/sell through.
That I am for. In fact the first server to invent such a thing wins the internet.
