As for you cupcake kids who constantly flame. What possibly besides "true to era" does no offensive spells add to this server? How is it better than using offensive spells in town? You guys love to flame. Back up what it adds to this server. I know it will never get changed because about 3/4 of the playerbase enjoy having safezones. Thats the sad part. If we had overwhelming support for such a change we might be able to persuade Derrick to do something. Pragmatism > Tradition.

Erm, I am assuming you are having difficulties understanding how the forum works...but typically you reply to a post in a thread, not generate a new one.

As for the offensive spells...the shard is focused on recreating the T2A era. If they change one thing they disagree with then whats to say they won't change another? Before you know it you have a completely custom shard that is exactly like every other shard out there.

This is T2A and therefore it must stick to what T2A was. If you would prefer a UO:R server...go make one. If you would prefer a custom rule set, go make one.

aye, cant give an ich or itl become a mile and itl be completely dominated by what the loudest complainers want. Having a vision and sticking to it is waht gives this place credibility over all others.

I appreciate this less "sarcastic" post, and I do understand your point of view. However, this shard was created to replicate the T2A era. From the beginning this has been my goal and it's the only reason we do this (All staff and most players included). If we don't make an accurate T2A shard, no one ever will it's why we're here, no amount of player pressure will change that.

The only point I was trying to make is that you are acting like a child. I did not intend to engage you in discussion about the merits of your proposal, because you did not present yourself a person to be reasoned with. Act like a reasonable person and you will be reasoned with. Act like a child and you will be ignored or mocked.

Frankly, if I were in charge, you would have been banned forever from the forums and server without warning. I'm kind of a jerk like that I suppose. Derrick et al are saints for the mercy they show to people like you.

One of the reasons I liked secondage so much was because there really was no forum drama.. no in game drama. Everyone had fun for the most part and I felt as if I finally got away from the asshattery-griefing-idiot playerbase that ruined the community of UO and IPY.... But nope, I guess I can't get away from that curse forever.

As others have said this is T2A

Theres a hundred other server that allow casting in town that are "based" on T2A. I use BASED because they are NOT T2A.

I would recommend you try playing here for at least a month, as I have, before complaining about it. I only played half a year in T2A before UO:R launched and I think this is the best server. period. Others try to "recreate" OSI rule sets for givin times, but ALL have added their own version of "better" mechanics, changing things how they see fit, but thats not how it was is it. Thats the point, how it was.

Many would argue that UO:R was the death of UO, even tho personally I liked how there was more options and variaty for builds than just the tank mage or dexxer(poison mage, scribe mage, anyone remember shield mages?), but I would add that dexxer became even easier to play for any unskilled newb. At least here a dexxer has to have at least moderate skill to be good, outside of town anyway. Hell even in town. A newb no skill dexxer isn't going to beat a well played tank mage even in town.

But thats another topic altoghter, and this is T2A.

Opinions are always valid, and different shards suit different people. We have a great group of players here (new ones included) and I do agree that this shard is somewhat unconventional the the freeshard community (if we are even part of it). There are things that take some geting used to, and some things that still may not be 100% correct. We continue to work toward our goal of accuracy and consructive feedback and suggestions are always appreciated.

I've already got a fear that this thread may head to trash talk, so I'm going to lock it now becuase I don't want to lose it.

I've cleaned a couple posts only becuase they don't add anything to the discussion.
