Another recent accuracy change?

Post by Mens Rea »

I just accidently casted Ebolt on my hally and lost mana.

I think it used to say something about not being able to cast on that.

Losing mana when casting on an inanimate object made you lose mana in the T2A era - so it is accurate.

Is this new, or did I just not notice it until now?

Yep. Casting on a spell book or similar item has resulted in skill gain and mana loss at least since I've been playing here.
Save yourself the shame and embarrassment and just assume that if you can't understand me...you're the one who's retarded.

Been like this for as long as I can remember, casting on items will make you lose mana (including casting on tillerman) but casting on things out of sight/far away will not
