Stealing the Mages
I have notice over the last week or so it has become a popular thing to either kill the mages or lure them away onto a boat and sail them out into the middle of no where. I can also understand to some extent why this is happening. That being said something serious need to be done about it. There are those of us who are not afk reg buying that rely on the mage vendors to buy the necessary regs to work skills such as Alchy, Magery, and Inscription so basicly in trying to hurt the few that abuse the vendors you in reality are hurting the honest people trying to build skill and enjoy the game. Anyway to get to the point one way or another either the Admins need to do something about this or those responsible need to find another way to stop afk reg buying.
Re: Stealing the Mages
they must be killing them. because shop keepers only will wander a certain range from their shop before they go back. if they are being killed they probably have at most at 30 minute respawn sure while this is annoying its era accurate . someone is probably out farming sandals in all likely hood.

Metalacalypse, you should not macro your skills in the mage shop with all your supplies on you. If I were a "meaner" player I would have relieved you of all your supplies that you were carrying on your person in the Papua Mage Shop. You should be re-stocking from a bank for your own safety. There are many mage shops throughout the land to re-stock your supplies at if one is low...or if a shop is "taking a break". Your "Guards" macro will not save you from a griefer armed with Greater Explosion Potions.

C^V is luring them out by attacking the NPC from a distance (far enough so guards wont be called) and then 'kiting' them away to their rehabilitation center. they keep someone cycling through each mage to ensure it doesn't return home.Jayrich wrote:they must be killing them. because shop keepers only will wander a certain range from their shop before they go back. if they are being killed they probably have at most at 30 minute respawn sure while this is annoying its era accurate . someone is probably out farming sandals in all likely hood.

Light Shade I dont keep all my regs on my I only keep what I can hold. The mass of my stock I keep in my bank. I have been killed before macroing at the bank as well as at the mage shop so I only carry what I dont care about losing. As for the mages being moved the post after yours is correct. They are not killing them so they never respawn. They lure them away to heaven know where and keep them occupied so they never return. The Delucia mage shop hasn't had a mage in it for like a week. Era accurate or not its messed up. Attacking off screen so guards cannot be called on you isn't era accurate its a glitch or an exploit. If exploits are ok as long as they are era accurate then blackholing should be ok. If I were a new player the only places I could buy regs would be the places I could walk to. The best places to buy regs and make money at the same time are Delucia and Moonglow because of the cotton and sheep. Hence no mages no bueno.

Your source of information, Ivy, is the one who took the Moonglow mages, lol. If you would like them returned, you should talk to him.Anon Emous wrote:Light Shade I dont keep all my regs on my I only keep what I can hold. The mass of my stock I keep in my bank. Re: Stealing the Mages
Its a shame when a nice guild such as C^V are doing such evil things like luring npc mages from town so new players cant buy regs in peace!

Re: Stealing the Mages
Don't worry, our attempt at rehabilitation was mostly-successful (we brought them back from the brink of death), and the mages have been allowed to their shops. The Papua mages had visited them for support for about a day, and they returned home earlier... all except the Papua alchemist and herbalist--they stayed until the Delucia mages were discharged (mostly because nobody buys anything from them anyway).Kander wrote:Its a shame when a nice guild such as C^V are doing such evil things like luring npc mages from town so new players cant buy regs in peace!
We hope that these rehabilitated mages have a long future of serving the new player population... but we recognize that the ordeal is not over for them. If Ivy starts AFK buying again, the mages could "fall off the wagon" and become raging workaholics again... resulting in serious consequences. We will do what we can to avoid this outcome, but it's difficult to overcome such blatant disregard for the NPC's needs!
Most people like us, or at least they like what we do. Regardless, we appreciate all our victims, and we hope that their encounter with us is a memorable one.

never had any trouble with buying regs from mage shops. Most people are just to lazy and don;t want to wait for regs to respawn or run around to the next shop.
If you're just training your skills why not move to a different town? wind perhaps?
