Resist Session/Parties Information

Post by RoadKill »

I no longer hold public sessions.

I've held over 50 sessions by now and I've GM'd resist on characters I don't even need it on, the past few weeks I've been hosting them out of kindness/to be helpful. Lately though, I've been extremely busy with real life and I can't be bothered dealing with 100s of PMs on Tuesdays and Thursdays filled with dozens of questions that could be answered if they were to just read this thread. Some of you will be allowed to join in on my private sessions (from time to time I will hold private sessions to help friends out), but do not ask if I am hosting anymore sessions, the answer in short is no.

Resist Session Information & Requirements
- Must have 100 strength and 25+ resist
- You should expect to bring 500 of each MS reg and 800 bandages per character being healed
- Your healer character should come equipped with a bow with no ammo

Why Meteor Swarm?
- Damage on MS is divided among targets, more targets = less damage!
- You can get more resist gains in a shorter span of time.
- Go from 25 to 90 resist in 2-3 sessions generally, and another 1-2 sessions from 90-100

The following macro is used for casters who wish to also gain resist (this macro will cast, tab, meditate, tab)

Code: Select all

!Loop
Assistant.Macros.IfAction|1|1|50
Assistant.Macros.MacroCastSpellAction|55
Assistant.Macros.WaitForTargetAction|5
Assistant.Macros.AbsoluteTargetAction|1|0|0|2138|846|26|1314
Assistant.Macros.HotKeyAction|1477|
Assistant.Macros.EndIfAction
Assistant.Macros.ElseAction
Assistant.Macros.HotKeyAction|1044106|
Assistant.Macros.HotKeyAction|1477|
Assistant.Macros.PauseAction|00:00:01
Alternatively, this is what your macro should look like when viewing it in Razor:

The gains are great for everyone. This is the most efficient way to get to 100 Resist when it comes to macroing (as oppose to going out and getting gains for free off monsters)

PM/IM me for any real details you may require

I can say that with only 2 of us doing it we were gaining pretty well...the more casters that participate the safer, faster, and less expensive it is.

Last night's session went extremely well. We had no real issues once everyone had their macros working right.

I will be hosting another one tonight about the same time (4-5PM EST) --> Catch me on MSN, AIM, or IRC if you want in.

If you were there last night, it would be great community-feedback if you shared your gains by posting them here (so people can see how easy/fast gains were)

All 3 of my guys went from 97/98ish to 100 and I got another guy from 33 to 40 before losing connection (my ISP dropped me)

Roadkill is in charge, but just to put this out there, you should all have at LEAST one caster...yesterday it ended up being only me casting and about 4 freeloaders at the end.

I would just like to note i was at the resist session last night i thought i screwed myself because i didn' start my char with 50.0 resist, so i had to firefield it from 0-30, then i casted spelled on my char and wow was it taking forever! I thought it was going to be extremely expensive and time consuming but roadkill proved that wrong. within 2 hours of the time i was there, i gained from 30.0-72.1 and it was all afk while i went to go see a movie! I highly recommend this method to all of you that need to get that nasty resist up. All new people are welcome to this as long as you have 30.0 resist, YOU WILL GAIN! On hemperors note, he is right, the more casters, the better. i could not imagin if we had like 10 casters, You would probley go from 30.0 resist to GM in a hour :) I believe roadkill is doing another session on this today! So watch his post and try it out.

I'm hosting it again tonight. Same time (4PM EST), if you haven't came to one yet that's fine, but you must contact me a bit earlier so we can get your macro setup properly.

* Bring 500-750 each reg.
* Bring 500+ bandages (I will provide at least 10,000 bandages but we generally burn between 10-12k bandages)

If you plan on getting gains, please bring at least 1 caster. I don't want any "leechers" tonight, I want to try and get a very efficient party together (if we can get enough caster/targets, we'll be seeing 1 damage MSs)

i had one guy that started at store bought resist and then 50 resist

Resisting Spells 94.0 94.0 +10.3 100.0 (this guy started at 50 resist, after two 'resist sessions')
Resisting Spells 90.2 90.2 +15.6 100.0 (this guy had the store bought resist)

serious gains
