Do you have enough taming to have them follow you?
I think you have to have at least enough taming to retame a released creature to do so.
Not sure if friending them to you after giving the follow command by the tamer will keep them refreshed or not.
Questions I need to find the answers to too. I have not been playing regularly these last couple years.
I.E. You can tame a pretamed horse and have it follow you without having any taming, you cannot do that with say a Dragon. Thereby you can command the horse, but not the dragon because the taming required is set so low after the creature has been tamed...a considerable amount more is required of the dragon though it is retamed easier then it had once been originally.
So I am guessing you need at least the taming that is required to retame a released Frenzied Ossy in order to get the best use of it or alot of cut ribs to feed it when you dismount.

If you dont have enough lore the tamer has to friend it to you and then tell it to follow you.
If you die the tamer needs to tell it to follow you again.
Don not put "all follow me" in your refresh macro.

You can re-tame anything with 0 skill.
