I have approx 20 birds boxed off in corner ready for parry gains. Please refer to parrying skill post:

on what to do, and make sure to setup a macro to spam Attack Target on non-birds. You'll get gm parry in 1-2 hours from 0.

I also have a paladin boxed off for sparring, and plenty of bandages in a small chest on 1st floor.
