Just a quick hello and thanks!

Post by Brother Aldric »

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself.
I played UO back when it was released on the Catskills server and was mainly a crafter/gatherer with a side of fisherman tossed in. I was an officer in the guild Guardians of Light but it has been years since I have played UO. I am really happy to have found this fantastic shard and I am really thrilled to be playing again. I tried going back to playing the original UO but what a shock that was with all of the neon dayglo colors and freaky houses. I couldn't walk two steps without smacking into a condo-complex!

I am a bit overwhelmed on getting started from scratch again but it is great. I have my lumberjack Emanon in the Vesper area and he is finally starting to build up some callouses if he can just keep from breaking his hatchet he will be happy.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for getting this shard up and keeping it running. I can't wait to explore an interact and maybe someday I can get that small tower by the shoreline that I always wanted!

Welcome to UOSA, it's a great place :)

You should be aware that we don't have small towers here though, they were a UO:R building (also one of my favourite houses :( ).

DOH! That's right. Oh well, then a small house by the shore will have to do at some point. :)

Thanks for the welcome.

I played on catskills, and your guild name rings a bell. Did you hear of KOP? Was your guild stationed outside of Skara Brae?

Welcome to the shard. If you need a small house to macro in let me know.
Thank you,

Hi Scienter, GOL's guild tower was near Trinsic and we spent a lot of time in Serpent's Hold as a gathering spot. I don't remember KOP off the top of my head, what did it stand for?
I appreciate the offer of the house but I am hoping to be able to purchase a deed and place one for myself (I'm kinda strange like that  ) so I better get chopping so I can turn those boards into gold!

Welcome to the shard! If you need help with finding a house spot, pm me and I can show you a few spots to place your own. There is no need to buy a small off of the forums for above deed cost.

Hi Faber and thanks for the offer. Are there still plenty of open space for small homes?

Welcome Brother Aldric. Glad you are enjoying your days on UOSA. I can often times be found in Vesper, as it was and is one of my favorite cities. If you see me or anyone from H*O running around, feel free to ask for any help you might need.

As for housing spots. There are still places all over the map you can place a small. Just keep an eye out when your chopping wood.

I'm confident you're going to remember us,

We were known for exploiting bugs, duping in particular, and owning 2 castles by the Trisnic Swamp, a tower, and random small houses prior to t2a.

Our guild leaders were Grindle, Salvatore, and Valentine. The best pvper in our guild during T2A was Neobahmut.
Thank you,

Was on Catskills too, it was the last server I played before my 'retirement' due to the tailoring patch.
I was part of SL (Silver League) with Nifty, Brenna, and another guy I cant remember the name (Ramoz ?).

If you see a Marianna in-game, give me a warm hello (just, dont FlameStrike me  )

Welcome and I hope you like your stay !
