I roughly recall from years ago that regs can disappear.
Two ques:
will regular regs disappear in a locked down container in a house?
will regs mixed with newbied regs disappear in a locked down container in a house?

Only when you use them, or if stolen.

Items in containers will not dissapear themselves.

Newbied regs would only disappear if left on the floor. If you mix them with other regs they would no longer be newbied.

There was a bug that happened to be once on OSI server, I had 15K nightshade locked on the center tile of my pentagram add-on in my small house.

Then one day they where gone. My door had been locked all that time, and nothing else disappeared.
A DM confirmed that the items "fell" under the pentagram and That I should destroy it with an axe.
Surely enough, my huge stack of nightshade was under the pentagram rug...

Since then, I never lock doewn anything on my pentagrams
