Animal-rich areas and cotton spawn

Post by Tournesol »

Back on the original Origin T2A shards, I used to spend a lot of time in Moonglow training fighting skills on animals and picking cotton.

Here though, it seems there are significally fewer animals around Moonglow (I specifically remember an area near the cotton fields that always had plenty of hinds) and there seems to be a maximum of 8 cotton plants in the fields at any given time.

Is there any place with lots of "easy" (great hart and down) animals without too man monsters or wolfes, cougars and the like?

Also, am I right about the cotton fields and, if so, is there somewhere I can harvest a lot of flax or with plenty of wool-bearing animals?

There are three fields on verity isle. The spawns on the island are being adjusted tommorrow to remove the orcs, which shouldn't be there and well and the anilmal population will be increased somewhat as well.

We do have fewer animals in some regions just due to the lower shard population, i.e., there isn't as much compeition for them, but player feedback can help us get the areas balanced more properly.

Thanks for the post.

Thanks for clueing me in on the other fields. :-)

As for animals, competition to kill them is not an issue, the problem with the sparse amount is that I have to walk around quite a bit before I see a new animal and most of the time it's birds, cats, dogs or ones that would kill me

This goes back to what I was telling you in IRC about how Moonglow is missing its Hinds and Great Harts.

Hopefully by the time of this post the changes have been made :)
