Re: armor invul, fort
Really all players are so rich that they do not need it, and for a penny
there is no shortage of things. need to do something with the balance. imho

Re: armor invul, fort
Most people play mages Ken, so they can't use armour. Anyone that does use magic armour, uses it as follows (anyone is welcome to let me know any corrections as they see fit):
Most often:
Chainmail tunic
Chainmail leggings
Ringmail arms
Ringmail gloves
Close helm
Norse helm
Plate gorget
Leather gorget
Sometimes:
Plate tunic
Plate arms
Leather tunic
Leather leggings
Leather arms
Leather gloves
Leather hat
Bascinet
Helmet
Rarely:
Plate legs
Plate gloves
Plate helm
Ringmail legs
Kite shield
Tear kite shield
Metal shield
Never:
All studded leather
Ringmail tunic
Wooden shield
Buckler

Re: armor invul, fort
I think Aeris's assessment was pretty accurate. I ran a magic item vendor for a while and couldn't pay people to buy most of the armor/shields. So it's isn't just a "boards" thing.
His "most often" section was the only thing that moved, and I didn't try and sell much of it because I have a couple dexxers. Full hardening and fortification leather and studded leather suits wouldn't sell. A full dexxer suit of fortification sold in like an hour so I clearly mispriced it, heh heh. People don't want to work. So they tend to only want to buy full suits. You have some decent pieces, but nothing to make a full suit out of. Most people don't want to bid and win 5 different auctions to complete a suit.
I'd wait until you have a full dexxer suit of fort or invuln then put it up for auction. You'll get a lot more action. I still keep my fort and higher leather and studded because it seems a waste to cut it into leather, but I mainly use it sparingly on a couple characters for specific uses (like popping a level 4 chest with my mage/bard). It's not really useful. It's just some added protection for a dangerous few seconds.
