Parry or Archery for no magery townie

Post by qtip »

Parry or Archery?

everything else is set in stone so don't try

fencing
tactics
anatomy
healing
magic resist
Hiding

Parry or Archery? I might actually leave town sometimes so I was thinking archery would be nice. I'll have a couple others with me sometime too. Planning ahead for potential magic damage changes.

maybe archery if you are going with hiding. You can heal then hide and come out with an hxbow shot, switch to melee with poisoned wep or something. What guild are you in?

Lothain has this same build with hiding and archery - in town it is very useful because at the first corner you can hide, heal, and pop out with a shot from range. Imho, the most fun dexxer template, and certainly not underpowered.

I've gone with parry for the exact reason a lot are suggeting archery. The same way you can duck around a corner, hide, heal and hit me, if you hit me with a heavy Xbow, I can duck around a corner and heal. BUT, if I go toe to toe with a townie I have the advantage.

The xbow thing IS a nice trick though. If you're going to be the group of blues chasing the grey it might be good, but for 1v1 I would think it less effective. Most of this is theory though, since I honestly have never made an archer.
